An IP is a string of numbers, separated by four octet blocks – A, B, C, and D.

and therefore each domain is using a different class C block of IP.

Some SEO guy also said that the benefit is interlinking between websites. Websites
ranking also depends on how many other websites are linking to them.
In order to prevent spam and poor search engine ranking, Most search
engines give lower ranking to websites, sharing the IP address. It is known as shared hosting.
